Practitioner of Natural Medicine (PNM) Program Studies

Our teaching approach gives the practitioner a more than affordable alternative to new vistas in education by combined campus studies/workshops and online distance learning.

These are not ordinary courses with ordinary content. Each course is designed to be a life changing ascent towards the goal of becoming a physician of natural medicine. Interested students can sign up for free, and view samples of content which is a learning in itself.

Online Academic Programs

PanAm offers a wide range courses in both the Graduate and Undergraduate programs. Undergraduate courses have course numbers 499 and below. Graduate courses have numbers 500 and above. Consult with the Dean prior to enrollment to make certain that your course selection will meet your degree or diploma requirements and that you satisfy all prerequisites for the Diploma program. Each course description includes all prerequisite requirements in bold. Any exceptions or exemptions to these requirements must be approved by the Dean.

Formal Enrollment: The student enrolls per semester term. There are six terms in the PNM program. Each term should be completed in four (4) months. Each term constitutes 4 online courses. The entire two year program constitutes 2,000 hours, divided into two parts:

1. 1,000 online academic study hours. Each course is assigned estimated clock hours so that the student can estimate the maximum amount of time required for successful completion. Advanced students may complete in less time while new students may even require more before gaining subject familiarity.

2. 1,000 hours of combined practicum, workshops and seminars. Completion of this portion is developed for each student by the academic dean by a variety of methods:

  • Ideally, enrolled students are already employed in a health related field, in which case the student completes a number of hours by a combination of previous credit and/or life experience; and on the job experience and assigned case studies.
  • Workshops and seminars are scheduled throughout the year at various locations. The student will be informed which workshops are mandatory for successful completion, and those which are optional.

The Undergraduate Diploma Program in Natural Medicine (2,000 hours):

There are 1,000 clock hours of academic (online) study, which is coupled with 1,000 hours of seminars, workshops, mentoring, and clinical observations. Practitioners of the healing arts, e.g. Massage therapists, Nutritionists, Acupuncturists, Nurses, etc., may apply for advanced status and life experience. Each candidate is appraised on an individual status.

Why the two Programs?

The Diploma program allows one to make a career shift with the candidate having only high school knowledge of biology and chemistry.

The Doctorate program is on the same ladder of subjects as found in medical school but based on a different premise of content as route memorization of facts is not the desired goal, rather personal integration of the subject matter that can be applied immediately and clinically.
